The past few weeks have been most hectic for me and the family. We have done a lot in so short span of time. Packing our stuffs for weeks and then unpacking again after a day of completing the task, huh! Yes, the move is over but we are not over yet.
And the most stressful part is when we started loading our stuffs in a truck around 9 pm and in less than 10 minutes after we just started, it began to rain really hard and long that we have to wait for the rain to stop but it did not stop. So we decided around 12 midnight to keep going inspite of the rain or we'll never get done. We were all wet and cold from the rain but we continued till 6 am in the morning. We were able to leave the old place around 7 am. The rain stopped already and all the time that we were travelling to the new place it was not raining anymore but dark clouds still looming in the sky.
And here's what! When we started unloading our stuffs, it started to rain again. it is 10am already and it rained for several hours but we kept going. a lot of our stuffs got wet. A carton of clothings got wet and were stained, we have to spend the next day washing them and drying them.
But i decided that after we unload our stuffs from the truck, we will stop everything and we will all rest and sleep. We were done around 1 pm and hit the sack right after lunch. Everyone was exhausted but I never heard anyone complaining about the task at hand. And I am very thankful for my family. They are most cooperative and helpful and all I can do is try to serve some special dishes to make up for lost energy. And hey, after a couple of weeks, we are not done yet. Though we are quite settled now, we still have some things to do.
And well, that is part of life. I am hoping that the next move will be the last. And what I mean is that I hope to move to our own house and pray that God will grant my wish.
Some of you are just lucky to have your own place but to most of us who are renting, this experience will always mean a lot of extra work and could be stressful at times.
Still, at the end of the day, there's something we always gain from the experience that enriches our lives that makes us a better person.
